Eastern Thought   :  Answers or questions?
      By: David K. Every

hese are just the basic philosophies of the east. These have influenced me, and the ways I look at things. There are many perspectives into the same concepts, like two different people doing an artistic representation of an object; using different mediums, skills, and from different points of view. Even though the core concept is the same, the expressions (way it communicated) may be quite different.

Math is a man-made construct to help us to understand interactions in nature. Philosophy and Religions are also man-made constructs to help us understand nature and ourselves. This does not mean that any of them are wrong; in fact math can be perfectly accurate way of describing what is. But they are tools of knowledge, not knowledge themselves. They teach values, and give people tools to use to be introspective and reflect on what they are doing and why we are doing it. Sometimes it is not about giving answers, but asking questions. These questions help people on their journey to self-enlightenment and understanding. Since we are continually growing and changing, we must always be learning and reflecting on ourselves. So these are here to remind people to think, feel, and live.
