Snopes had a whole section for spreading disinformation called "The Repository of Lost Legends" or T.R.O.L.L. While it was intended to teach skepticism, by telling things that weren't true, and seeing if people would figure it out -- it was just condescending misinformation and hurt their brand of being a trustworthy source. So while they were the purveyors of FakeNews, it is more notable lore and a statement on their questionable judgment, rather than their bias/dishonesty.
