Again, body modifications can be fun... but they can go too far. Jareth may have crossed the line as an agendered alien.

Look, I had grew up and we had Goth and Punk, and those looks weren't exactly loved/tolerated by society. And it's fine, I'm not very judgy -- live how you want to. But for most people I know that were in either scene, it was a phase (a few longer than others). Enjoy it, have fun, then grow out of it. Hacking off your boobs and too many tattoos aren't exactly things you can grow out of. Which again, I'll leave bad decisions (and mental disorders) to the individuals. Hey, if Jareth is happy, I'm glad. But at some extremes, I still can't shake that this feels about unresolved issues that aren't being addressed: hating who/what they are, so wanting to be something else. There seems to be desperation and frustration in the video. But I hope everyone finds peace. Even if some people's "happiness" seems more like a desperate plea.

There is also a certain irony of wanting to be so different, so they dressed/acted like everyone else in the scene. (At least this is a bit more unique, but as CosPlay shows, not THAT unique). And there's some irony in "I want to stand out and be unique", then later saying, "what are you looking at? Stop looking at me." Pick one.
