🇷🇺 Budyonnovsk, Russia: Despite having some of the strictest gun controls in the world, in a police state, Chechen islamic separatists ☪️ came inland over 70 miles, killing over 191 people, and took up to 2,500 hostages in a hospital with automatic weapons, to force Russia into peace talks.

This isn't exactly the same thing as violence in other countries, as they were unstable and having a civil insurrection. But that's the point, even in a police state, with near totalitarian powers, and a complete outlawing of guns, they still couldn't stop mass shootings that dwarf what happens in the U.S. And if the U.S. tries to copy Russia in ignoring our constitution and outlawing semi-automatic weapons, they're likely to troll the McVeigh and other separatists and constitutionalists out of the woodwork, and destabilize us, so we can be more like them. If only democrats could think of cause and effect.
