Jemele Hill (of ESPN and the Atlantic) made a tweet (now deleted) saying AOC should interrupt Trump's next State of the Union address, with the following quote, "GETCHO HAND OUT MY POCKET". This was what one of Malcom-X's killers said before murdering him.

Jemele deleted the tweet and apologized.

One wonders if that's because she's sincere, or remembers it was her mouth (fingers) and comments like that got her fired from ESPN. Left-of-center ESPN didn't fire her for her multiple lies against Trump culminating in calling him a White Supremacist. She was later "let go" because she violated their social media policies a second time, after calling on fans to boycott the Dallas Cowboys’ advertisers (after owner Jerry Jones told players they would be benched if they did not stand up during the national anthem). Lying about the President on their network is fine -- but the Cowboys have a lot of fans, and that's a bridge too far.

Naturally, her contempt for the truth and far left of center views was welcomed over at The Atlantic, where they will make excuses for her doing this as well. But we know if she was a white guy that had said the same thing about Obama or Hillary, and she'd be out-on-her-ass.

While I'm dubious of her sincerity, she did apologize quickly and clearly when caught. And sometimes you should give people the benefit of the doubt that they were stupid and mouthy rather than malicious in intent. So I'll take her plea of ignorance as a valid excuse. If she was thoughtful, she wouldn't be able to get a job in a left-of-center outlet like the Atlantic.
