COVID deaths and death rates were intentionally exaggerated from the start to maximize fear/impact in the public. Then the facts/data that would offer context and alleviate some of the public's fears (overreactions) with actual facts/data were suppressed by not only failing to consider them newsworthy, but by intentionally attacking the medical professionals who offered them and censoring people who were repeating them. We can speculate why, but the facts are that it did happen, and that should not happen in a free country or in places where people "care about the facts/science". more...
Is anyone surprised that paying people not to work, encourages more people to not work? Well, as soon as a conservative suggested it in 2020 (not to raise unemployment too much), far left News organizations all pearl clutched over the offensive premise of cause and effect. After Democrats paid people more to not work than they made when working, the unemployment numbers shot up more than expected: and that didn't convince leftist sources of anything. Now WSJ published a report that the 22 states (including Missouri) that opted out of the higher unemployment benefits are seeing their employment rates improve faster than states that are still paying people more to not work. more...
A few FakeNews outlets like The Daily Beast, Sky News, Bloomberg and CNBC claimed that "Trump (through Dana Rohrabacher as the intermediary) offered WikiLeaks' Julian Assange a pardon... if he covered up Russian hacking of Democrats, his lawyer tells court in the U.K."... only the meeting happened 10 months AFTER Assange had stated multiple times that "he was 1000% sure the Russians" weren't his source, the Trump administration denied it, and Assange's lawyer that informed Gen. Kelly that "Assange would provide information about the purloined DNC emails in exchange for a pardon," but he never heard back from the White House (not the other way around). So instead of a scandal, it exonerates Trump as behaving better than Democrats (who did reach out to Russians over potential oppo-research / dirt). But other than getting the story bass-backwards, and failing to correct it (or correct it slowly), good job. more...
Masks for stopping COVID defies science.
  • Some bad studies claim to show through inference that masks work, because a few place had lower case loads and wore masks -- but they ignore other better reasons for fewer cases and ignore outliers that prove them wrong. Other better studies/papers contradict the efficacy (especially before the politics of COVID), and credible places call them more placebos or "talisman's" -- good for politics or confidence but little else.
  • If the cloth masks worked against COVID, then cities, states or countries with masks mandates would outperform those that didn't. You can cherry pick places that had fewer cases and mask mandates (but it's nearly impossible to isolate it to masks as the cause and not other things), and other places that were disastrous despite mask mandates (like Belgium) which proves that they are not a prime contributor to slowing the disease.
  • We know that most people that got COVID were mask wearers. (The CDC says >85%, but other studies show U.S. compliance is closer to 93% and we still had a second outbreak).
  • There is a lot of evidence that masks may actually exacerbate issues: touching, talking louder, getting closer and repeating yourself, false security, moist place for virus to survive, all contribute to increased risk, not decreases. more...
The Coronavirus is named after the fact that under a microscope it looks like the surface of the sun, with lots of little protrusions and bumps. These are series of diseases, but the one everyone is talking about for now, is the Chinese (Wuhan COVID-19 for COrona VIrus Disease circa 2019, or SARS-CoV-2) that's going pandemic. While the CDC, WHO and FDA all blew their response, we've never seen a more effective response to a pandemic, and the U.S. outperformed most of the world in objective metrics. But as to be expected, partisan Democrats and their media never let an opportunity go to waste: to politicize, polarize, divide and undermine the American economy and people. more...
Critical Race Theory is part of broader Marxist/Fascist Critical Theory -- the philosophy that we need government to rule us to create utopia. Different branches of it argue over what is the correct excuse to bring on the same central authority (tyranny), but they have the same ends. So whether they are using racial injustice, gender, sexual identity, class, culture, or other beliefs -- all roads lead to the same ends. And they all use the same excuse to get there. Tear down the systems and history and perception of what is and was good... so that you can sell people on a fiction of a better tomorrow, if you just give the Marxists control over all our lives. Critical race theory just one implementation of that, that says the proper excuse for destroying us as a culture is racial inequality. more...
The left used the big lie, to hide the many problems with Democrat Racism by prestidigitation: look over there, the Republicans are the racists. As long as the media is attacking the Republicans, and the Republicans are defending themselves, then the Democrats (and their media) can hide from all the bad things they've done or are doing.

Who do the bigoted Republicans have as some of the favorite figures?

  • Blacks: Candice Owens, Walter Williams, Condeleza Rice, Alan Keyes, Herman Caine, Ben Carson, Larry Elder, Clearance Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Colin Noir, etc.
  • Jews: Andrew Breitbart, Ben Shapiro, Andrew Kavlan, Dennis Prager, Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, Milo Yiannopoulos, etc.
  • Gays: Peter Theil, Richard Grenell, Dave Rubin, Liz Chaney (before she fell from grace), Milo Yiannopoulos, etc.
  • Women: Amy Coney Barrett, Margaret Thatcher, Nikki Haley, Laura Ingram, Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, Condeleza Rice, Melania Trump, Kristi Noem (pre-turn-coat), Sarah Palin, Alveda King, Stacey Dash, and many more.

If Republicans are so White Supremacist, sexist and homophobic, why are they doing it so wrong? If Democrats are so much more sensitive on these matters, why are they so vicious towards women, jews and other minorities that disagree with them?

Could it be that the the Democrats (and their media) perpetuate a lie to distract their base from questioning their moral superiority, and recognizing that their tropes are just political gamesmanship? more...
In the mid-2000's, there was a well loved Apple Ad Campaign with Justin Long as the anthropomorphized Mac, and John Hodgman was the anthropomorphized PC. Inevitably, John would show the moral and technical flaws of being a PC, while Justin would cooly, just be there to observe the shortcomings, sometimes with a quip, sometimes with silent derision or pity. Well, Intel brought Justin Long back in five ads doing the same, with the shoes reversed -- at least as closely as intellectual property rights will allow. more...
Biden comes out of hiding: the most transparent administration ever is the slowest to address the nation in over 100 years, and still no press conference. His speech started, ended and was filled with lies and disinformation, that divides the nation, and politicizes a pandemic, in the name of unity and healing. This breaks that down. more...
The left (BlueAnon) and right both have some conspiracy theories. The left loves to associate QAnon with the right, which isn't quite true -- they are anti-left (generally), but they are definitely not establishment right or mainstream. Heck, the CNN watchers and Blue folks seem to know more about QAnon from their FakeNews sensationalizing it, than the right knows of them. Meanwhile, the left is, as usual, accusing the other side of doing what they do. more...
I'll start taking Climate Models seriously once their developers have code reviews, write user guides for the software, write maintenance manuals for the software, and publish their code, documentation, and data publicly. Real software engineers do all of that. We develop code, expose our code to professional criticism from fellow engineers, document our code for the user, write maintenance manuals for subsequent software engineers. Modern software engineers often publish their code on public sites like GitHub, where other software engineers can learn from their code, or critique their code. The fact that they keep it all secret means that they aren’t confident and don’t want to expose it to scrutiny. more...
Child to mother: I'm a chicken, and if there's one thing us chickens know, it's how to self-identify.

Mother to child: that's absurd. You have no beak, no feathers, you don't lay eggs and you don't like bird seed. Child to mother: you're wrong, I know I'm a chicken. Mother to therapist: help me out here. Therapist to mother: You're the one arguing with a chicken.

Welcome to what therapy and education brings to the new transgender craze. more...
Texas has its first major blackout in 50 years (2.8M customers), due to a freak storm, failing wind power, a nuclear reactor having to be shut down, and poor planning. In the same time, California has yearly failures that impact more people, and the national grid has collapsed on far larger scale a half dozen times. So California Progressives and the ignorant left all pounce to say, "Nya nya" and pretend this shows that Texas is stupid to not be on the national grid, and have more problems like they do. That's what healing, and unity looks like to progressives. more...
Ahhh, Disney has gotten woke, and it's impacting their bottom line and how rational people perceive them. Disney employs Jack Morrissey who in the wake of various violence and even murders of Trump supporters joked that "#MAGAKids should go head first into the wood-chipper" (along with a cartoon gleefully illustrating it). Disney re-hired James Gunn, who tweeted about sexually and physically abusing kids, and his membership in NAMBLA. They also defend their decision to work with China, including filming a movie near Muslim Uighurs real concentration camps. But Gina pointed out the historical reality that the problem with the Nazi's wasn't just the top down abuse of the Jews, it was that the government was reflecting the will of the people (or they fed off each other) -- and it was the people that did much of the persecution directly. Basically, that we should think on that before we look the other way on political venom that is being bandied about. Fired! You might think it was the Nazi references that was a bridge too far (they claimed anti-semitism, when the statement wasn't the slightest bit anti-Jewish), and trending on Twitter at the same time are a bunch of Democrats comparing Josh Hawley to Nazi's, and the star of Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) compared Nazi Concentration camps to temporary immigration detention centers, or Nazi's to Trump supporters. No firing for that far more offensive comparison. The problem is her comparison hit WAY too close to home to be tolerated by the left... she was fired from the Disney show Mandalorian, because demanding the left stop their hate (or consider the consequences), is a bridge too far for Disney -- but pedophilia and mass murder or comparing conservatives to Nazi's are more acceptable. more...
Electric-vehicle-icon.png
Electric cars are great for the tech side. They're quiet, torquey, and if you prefer to plug-in all the time over getting gas every other week or so, then they're clearly better. They also give you HoV lane access if you live in a completely asshatted part of the country. If you have solar and charge during the day directly, energy wise might be a bit green. There's lots of upsides. Just don't get preachy about it, because environmentalism is one of their weakest points, not their strongest. more...
The Tuskegee experiments (as horrendous as they were) are exaggerated to be that white doctors with the approval of the U.S. government gave black men syphilis to secretly study the effects of the disease: institutional racism! None of that is really true. The facts were that after a Norwegian study on the impacts of syphilis on white males, the Tuskegee study group wanted to repeat it, and so recruited black caregivers, from a black college (Tuskegee University), to track the impacts of the disease on black males who already had it (399 syphilitic, and 201 clean patients), which was openly published in medical journals. 15 years into the 40 year study, we discovered a cure (penicillin treatment), and 240 men that enlisted in the military were cured (against the wishes of some researchers), but another 100+ were never informed of their malady, and the study continued because no one questioned the ethics of a study already in process. Once the public learned of the details of the study in 1972, they were so appalled that we demanded informed consent laws for all future studies (to prevent that from happening). more...
I was dealing with the large consulting firms and their internal training which basically said, “you are never hired because management likes how things are now... so your job is to find out what they really want, and then give them the excuses/justification for changing things in that direction”. So Consulting firms are often just providing cover for managers who don’t want accountability (they can always blame the consulting firm if things go poorly). Progressives get money and votes by claiming how bad everything is, and offering ways to change it. (While milking power, influence or skimming money in the change-over). And a government commission is just a consulting firm for government. It is there to provide cover for a progressive agenda, under a faux brain trust of experts that likely know little about what they're talking about, and are burying the potential consequences so they don't lose the sale. A bipartisan one is just a charade of finding one or two RINO's or sell-outs that will support the other side for a cut. more...
Biden promises to replace the U.S. governments 650,000 vehicle fleet with Electric Vehicles as a shift to be more "green". He also promised to buy American, which isn't really possible in a global supply chain, but it sounded good to the gullible. He said it would "only" cost taxpayers $20 billion to buy government workers new cars (they only cost $4.4B in 2019, so he's basically saying he wants to drive up vehicle costs by 5x). Of course it's all dumb. Government will either go too slow (and this announcement was a fraud) or too fast (and cause more problems than they cure), but never has government ever got it just right and done better by managing from the top, than just leaving it those who know more about the problem. But it makes those addicted to thinking they're making a difference feel good, and isn't that what's important? more...
If you have seen the headlines claiming that President Biden reversed President Trump's "transgender Military ban", then you have been duped by FakeNews and leftist propaganda. This lie has already permeated the left's alternate reality where we'll be arguing it for years, and the facts will only irritate them.
  • From the 1960s until about 2012: People with “current or history of psychosexual conditions, including but not limited to transsexualism, exhibitionism, transvestism, voyeurism, and other paraphilias” were barred from enlisting in the military.
  • In 2008 Obama stuffed the pork-laden Duncan Hunter National Defense Authorization Act with a diversity and inclusion "Studies", and in 2012 President Obama’s secretary of defense (Ash Carter), under the cover of their FakeScience recommendations, announced that while while other paraphilias would be banned from military service those transgenders currently serving would be allowed to continue serving. New enlistment remained prohibited.
  • One year into the Trump administration (2018), a policy was enacted briefly allowing transgender enlistments (adding not removing liberties), but Secretary of Defense Mattis quickly qualified that policy with a restriction that “transgender persons with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria — individuals who the policies state may require substantial medical treatment, including medications and surgery — are disqualified from military service except under certain limited circumstances." They continued to allow people who are already serving openly to remain, as well as any who would serve “in accordance with their birth gender.”
  • The media misreported it as a ban. That's not a ban. That was an INCREASE in diversity, and even trans diversity, but putting a cap on how serious a disorder could still effectively serve, as that wouldn't do anything to help military effectiveness, and would stick taxpayers with large bills (≈$132,000 per surgery). Without this, anyone that wanted could enlist, get the surgery at taxpayers expense, then drop out once recovered.
  • In 2019, a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ruled that the policy is not a “ban” because “not all transgender persons seek to transition to their preferred gender or have gender dysphoria.”
What really happened is, “Biden orders military to pay for gender reassignment surgeries, and take on the severely mentally ill". Remember the facts that post-op transexuals have extremely high suicide rates, depression and other emotional issues, require extensive therapy, and many regret the surgery and would take it back if they could. I think these people deserve compassion, but we probably shouldn't be recruiting them to give them weapons (to the point some might have their fingers on the triggers of our Nuclear arsenal), all in the name of wokeness. You can be excluded from the military for a variety of physical or mental variations (weight, height, substance abuse, education, bad finances, earrings (ear gauges), tattoos, criminal record, and so on)... but if you want to stick Uncle Sam with your gender reassignment surgery and make the military liable for any hysterical outbursts that hurt others, Biden is all for it. more...

Barack Obama ran as the great uniter, "Not a red America or blue America, but the United States of America"... and he governed as a far-left impotent fascist dictator that increased the divide on racial and party lines, and the rise of Occupy Wall Street, BLM, Antifa, ISIS, and so on. It's what community organizers do. Joe Biden, had the closest “win” with the lowest vote integrity of any President, ever, why shouldn’t he demonstrate contemptuousness of the other sides interests in the name of unity and healing? Instead of acting at all like the moderate he pretended he was on the campaign, his caustic inauguration speech and immediate executive order lets everyone know he is just attempting to be Obama 2.0 with 1/3rd less brains or charm. He didn't extend an oliver branch or show any moderation/compromises/healing on his first day, or his first week in office. He picked a radical/extremist cabinet based on gender or skin color (and ideological extremism) instead of qualifications, and ramrodded 30 executive orders through in his first week (causing 70,000 jobs), and he broke multiple campaign promises in the process. Zero unity or healing was offered, it was all divisiveness. more...

Irreversible Damage.jpg
Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters, by Abigail Shrier, just lays out facts in about as non-agenda driven way as is possible... the problem is that the facts are shocking and offensive to the Woke Mob that doesn't like what the facts and what the science hints at. Basically, that before 2010, Gender Dysphoria was exceedingly rare (<.01% of the population) and was nearly exclusively the domain of boys, and was exposed early in childhood development (3-5 years old). After 2010, it became far more common, was nearly exclusively the domain of girls who used Social media, happened in social pods, and came on suddenly and inexplicable (with no prior indications), usually in late adolescence or often college (known as Rapid onset gender dysphoria). Since human biology and fundamental psychology doesn't suddenly change like that, what were the likely causes? The likely answers are a shock to no one: impressionable girls who are struggling at social interaction can find the ultimate ice-breaker and social riches ("Special" social status), based on how much identity and body mutilation they would go through. more...
OrangeNewBlack.jpeg
Orange is the New Black (ONB) was one of Netflix's early success series, that ran for 7 seasons, and is well liked by reviewers and viewers (96/82 on rotten tomatoes). While I generally liked the characters and writing, it gets a bit manic, woke and Social Justice preachy in the story. You quickly realize it is just it is just Lesbian Hogans Heroes -- with a darker view of the world, but all the same cynical and slightly bigoted undertones. Instead of being anti-German, it's anti-straight white male patriarch, anti-authority... everyone in power is incompetent or an asshole. The prison is filled with good people that just had a tough childhood and made some bad choices, are mentally ill and not getting treatment, or they are framed victims. It's all societies fault. The story arc is interesting, but the dogma of the writers gets thicker and thicker as the writers try desperately to make you bond to the criminals and empathize with their bad chocies resent the authority protecting society from them (or them from each other), and hate the system as much as they do. more...
The Ranch title card.jpg
Netflix original series basically said "let's put the case of 'That 70's Show' on a Colorado Ranch, and make fun of red-states". You'd think with that premise, it would be a disaster -- but it the first couple Season's were good. Then Danny Masterson got "MeToo'd" over "rape", aka having sex with his sleeping wife a couple decades ago, and she stayed with him for 3 more years. Then he was killed off, and the show lost its tone and wandered for another season and a half before mercifully going to the slaughter house. more...
Unhinged.jpeg
Unhinged is Russell Crowe thriller about an "unhinged" stranger terrorizing a young woman after a road rage incident. Russell did a good job of looking and acting like John Goodman in 10 Cloverfield Lane (quiet, crazy type)... and as far as thrillers go, it wasn't horrible or great. Middle of the road suspense, with people occasionally doing predictably irrational things, and a few cheesy lines (groaners) thrown in. The most memorable part is it was the biggest major release to theaters during COVID. I'm not sure if that will help or hurt it. If you like thrillers done by a horror director, you'll probably enjoy it. If these aren't your genre, and they generally aren't mine, it's a reasonably entertaining 93 minutes... that will soon be forgotten. more...
TrayvonHoax.jpeg
This is a book and documentary where Joel Gilbert (investigative journalist) goes over the well documented parts of the Trayvon Martin fraud - where he was a drug dealing thug that ambushed a latino guy, and was beating the shit out of him when he was shot in self defense and not some innocent tween shot for wearing a hoodie. But it adds in his own research where he details that Rachel Jeantel was not Trayvon's real girlfriend (Diamond Eugene), and the prosecutors were either incompetent or perpetrated the fraud out of malice. A fascinating watch. more...
Upload Amazon series logo.jpeg
Upload is an American science fiction comedy satire web television series on Amazon Prime Video. Basically, 2033 humans are able to "upload" themselves into a VR afterlife of their choosing, and others can visit them. It's kind of a corny rom-com with murder mystery going on, that isn't that deep, but works better than many shows on regular TV. Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 83/90 (reviewer/viewer) -- a little generous, but I enjoyed the plot arc, characters and writing, even if their anti-Capitalist/anti-commercialism and OpenSource good-guys tropes were a bit over the top. The whole show was over the top and a caricature... but it did have a little bit of thought provoking mixed in. more...
Planet-of-the-humans.jpg
This is a Documentary by Jeff Gibbs and Michael Moore, available for free on YouTube (at least for a while). The movie spends a lot of it's time debunking Green Energy claims: showing how they aren't green at all: neither carbon neutral, renewable, nor sustainable... they're just scams to enrich big business and big government. Gosh, the informed have been saying that since the 1970's, when even the far left is waking up to reality, well, that's something. Of course it's by Marxists and for Marxist -- so their agenda is that the problem is any civilization and humanity (and overpopulation) and the whole planet is doomed... with the open ended point that we likely need central authorities that can cull/control us, for our own good. But if you ignore that premise, it's one of the least dirty-trick ridden of Moore's films, and it has a fair amount of useful information, so it is hated by the far left. Never thought I'd say that about a Michael Moore film. more...
