Belkin International, is the parent company for Belkin, Linksys and Wemo: American manufacturers of consumer electronics that specializes in connectivity devices including routers, iPod and iPhone accessories, mobile computing accessories, surge protectors, network switches, hubs, (USB and computer network) cables, KVM switches, racks and enclosures, and other peripherals.
I stopped buying their products because every router I had from them seemed to overheat and die after 2 years. After like 2 or 3, I learned. Their reputation for routers is bad. For simple plaster accessories or other things it's not that bad.
During the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic they decided to EOL their Wemo NetCam. This was incredibly shortsighted as a lot of people use these devices to monitor their second homes or summer properties over the Internet -- and they can't just fly there and/or replace these cameras when things are locked down. A 30 day sunset plan is beyond incompetently managed, and if I had one of their cameras and they did this, I’d never buy another of their products again. As it is, they certainly lost a lot of user trust.
Low grade products, with lower grade support and common sense.
