Obama might have meant to only say, the roads and bridges, but that's not what he actually said. And he's said variants multiple times before. The problem wasn't a gaffe that the other side tried to portray as the truth... the problem was a closeted Frank Marshall worshiping, community organizer, accidentally slipped and told the marxist truth about how he views individuals and businesses versus the government. And since that truth is rightly unpopular, the far left is trying to carry his water and make excuses, instead of letting the words/truth stand for themselves.

One of the defining phrases of the Obama Administration was Obama's attack on private companies which went, "You didn't build that"... basically you owe government for the company you created since they supplied the infrastructure needed. The truth is the opposite, without government we'd still have commerce and industrious individuals, but without commerce and people to tax, there is no government. Government is the parasite with delusions of grandeur. The FakeNews / far-left / Democrats lied and claimed Obama was only talking about roads and bridges, when he clearly said, "If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that".

Issue Lie Truth
You didn't build that You didn’t create that, you built it on the backs of government. Government built itself on the backs of individuals and the private sector. Without government, we’d still have innovated and created things (including government). But without private innovations and big government, we’d all look like North Korea or Cuba or USSR: drab, grey cinderblock row houses, filled with wage slaves to the state.
❝ If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.

Obama might have meant to only say, the roads and bridges, but that's not what he actually said. And he's said variants multiple times before as well, and it fit his underlying philosophy. And if he meant "those" (bridges and roads) he should have said, "those", instead of "that", which means the businesses.

The problem wasn't a gaffe that the other side tried to portray as the truth... the problem was a closeted Frank Marshall worshiping, community organizer, accidentally slipped and told the marxist truth about how he views on individuals and businesses versus the government. And since that truth is rightly unpopular, the far left is trying to carry his water and make excuses, instead of letting the words/truth stand for themselves.
