AdobeProud is a group, maillist and slack channel that was started so that the Adobe LGBT-community could connect and share LGBT events/issues. But since the LGBT community (especially in the bar area) demands conformity to far left marxists intolerance (cancel culture, etc), it quickly became a place to bully anyone that tries to inject balance and moderation. And HR seems to side with the mob.

While I'm not part of the AdobeProud list, I can lurk and listen. And some friends point out troubling exchanges. And they're sad/shocking at their tone deafness.

Examples:

  • 2019.08 - There was discussion about Adobe allowing Gender pronouns, and someone brought up, 'What about countries/cultures/voters who find some of this offensive, silly, or against their beliefs?' The response on this thread was basically an only slightly more polite version of, "Fuck the Nazi's". All in the name of tolerance. The problem is that one of the most vocal people is in HR: quickly becoming the Department of Rainbows -- which shows no tolerance for diversity (of thought).
  • 2019.11 - Another discussion on whether sales/support folks could opt to drop accounts of evil organizations against their beliefs (like the dreaded FoxNews). To be fair, the Fox rep pointed out they were only professional and never asked for anything bad/wrong (as snowflakes see bad/wrong). But others kept going on the thread. Someone asked the reasonable response, "Should we enact the same policy for organizations that offend others beliefs: like Planned Parenthood and catholics. The response by internal folks was pretty nasty about abortion being a civil right, and that the person asking that question was wrong for dragging us off topic and into a hostile area. The HR rep seemed to site with the hostile mob that chose to miss the point of the question, and mentioned to the asker that they should 1:1 off line if they still had a problem.
  • 2020 - A friend was getting in trouble for asking questions and decided that it's better to submarine (go silent and deep) that expose himself to the matriarchy of intolerance (towards anything that differs from far left orthodoxy).
Adobe for All

There's this program called "Adobe for All" -- which originated out of the Adobe for Women efforts. These were/are efforts that allow Women to shadow execs, Women to have Women speakers, and stuff like that that are denied/discouraged for men. Later, the "for All" really meant all minorities... straight white males need not apply. They try harder, and are slightly better than a Google or a Facebook at not being completely anti-white-male douches about it... but only slightly better. There's still an undertone and history that makes it fundamentally bigoted and flawed from the premise to the implementation. Men at Adobe know that while they created and built the company, they are second class civitizens, in the name of diversity indoctrination and hypocritical efforts to be politically correct.
