Irreversible Damage - Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters, by Abigail Shrier, just lays out facts in about as non-agenda driven way as is possible... the problem is that the facts are shocking and offensive to the Woke Mob that doesn't like what the facts and what the science hints at. Basically, that before 2010, Gender Dysphoria was exceedingly rare (<.01% of the population) and was nearly exclusively the domain of boys, and was exposed early in childhood development (3-5 years old). After 2010, it became far more common, was nearly exclusively the domain of girls who used Social media, happened in social pods, and came on suddenly and inexplicable (with no prior indications), usually in late adolescence or often college (known as Rapid onset gender dysphoria). Since human biology and fundamental psychology doesn't suddenly change like that, what were the likely causes? The likely answers are a shock to no one: impressionable girls who are struggling at social interaction can find the ultimate ice-breaker and social riches ("Special" social status), based on how much identity and body mutilation they would go through. Power Reliability - Texas has its first major blackout in 50 years (2.8M customers), due to a freak storm, failing wind power, a nuclear reactor having to be shut down, and poor planning. In the same time, California has yearly failures that impact more people, and the national grid has collapsed on far larger scale a half dozen times. So California Progressives and the ignorant left all pounce to say, "Nya nya" and pretend this shows that Texas is stupid to not be on the national grid, and have more problems like they do. That's what healing, and unity looks like to progressives. Gina Carano - Ahhh, Disney has gotten woke, and it's impacting their bottom line and how rational people perceive them. Disney employs Jack Morrissey who in the wake of various violence and even murders of Trump supporters joked that "#MAGAKids should go head first into the wood-chipper" (along with a cartoon gleefully illustrating it). Disney re-hired James Gunn, who tweeted about sexually and physically abusing kids, and his membership in NAMBLA. They also defend their decision to work with China, including filming a movie near Muslim Uighurs real concentration camps. But Gina pointed out the historical reality that the problem with the Nazi's wasn't just the top down abuse of the Jews, it was that the government was reflecting the will of the people (or they fed off each other) -- and it was the people that did much of the persecution directly. Basically, that we should think on that before we look the other way on political venom that is being bandied about. Fired! You might think it was the Nazi references that was a bridge too far (they claimed anti-semitism, when the statement wasn't the slightest bit anti-Jewish), and trending on Twitter at the same time are a bunch of Democrats comparing Josh Hawley to Nazi's, and the star of Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) compared Nazi Concentration camps to temporary immigration detention centers, or Nazi's to Trump supporters. No firing for that far more offensive comparison. The problem is her comparison hit WAY too close to home to be tolerated by the left... she was fired from the Disney show Mandalorian, because demanding the left stop their hate (or consider the consequences), is a bridge too far for Disney -- but pedophilia and mass murder or comparing conservatives to Nazi's are more acceptable. Electric Cars - Electric cars are great for the tech side. They're quiet, torquey, and if you prefer to plug-in all the time over getting gas every other week or so, then they're clearly better. They also give you HoV lane access if you live in a completely asshatted part of the country. If you have solar and charge during the day directly, energy wise might be a bit green. There's lots of upsides. Just don't get preachy about it, because environmentalism is one of their weakest points, not their strongest. Tuskegee Experiment - The Tuskegee experiments (as horrendous as they were) are exaggerated to be that white doctors with the approval of the U.S. government gave black men syphilis to secretly study the effects of the disease: institutional racism! None of that is really true. The facts were that after a Norwegian study on the impacts of syphilis on white males, the Tuskegee study group wanted to repeat it, and so recruited black caregivers, from a black college (Tuskegee University), to track the impacts of the disease on black males who already had it (399 syphilitic, and 201 clean patients), which was openly published in medical journals. 15 years into the 40 year study, we discovered a cure (penicillin treatment), and 240 men that enlisted in the military were cured (against the wishes of some researchers), but another 100+ were never informed of their malady, and the study continued because no one questioned the ethics of a study already in process. Once the public learned of the details of the study in 1972, they were so appalled that we demanded informed consent laws for all future studies (to prevent that from happening). Government Commission - I was dealing with the large consulting firms and their internal training which basically said, “you are never hired because management likes how things are now... so your job is to find out what they really want, and then give them the excuses/justification for changing things in that direction”. So Consulting firms are often just providing cover for managers who don’t want accountability (they can always blame the consulting firm if things go poorly). Progressives get money and votes by claiming how bad everything is, and offering ways to change it. (While milking power, influence or skimming money in the change-over). And a government commission is just a consulting firm for government. It is there to provide cover for a progressive agenda, under a faux brain trust of experts that likely know little about what they're talking about, and are burying the potential consequences so they don't lose the sale. A bipartisan one is just a charade of finding one or two RINO's or sell-outs that will support the other side for a cut. Biden: EV the car fleet - Biden promises to replace the U.S. governments 650,000 vehicle fleet with Electric Vehicles as a shift to be more "green". He also promised to buy American, which isn't really possible in a global supply chain, but it sounded good to the gullible. He said it would "only" cost taxpayers $20 billion to buy government workers new cars (they only cost $4.4B in 2019, so he's basically saying he wants to drive up vehicle costs by 5x). Of course it's all dumb. Government will either go too slow (and this announcement was a fraud) or too fast (and cause more problems than they cure), but never has government ever got it just right and done better by managing from the top, than just leaving it those who know more about the problem. But it makes those addicted to thinking they're making a difference feel good, and isn't that what's important? Transgender Ban - If you have seen the headlines claiming that President Biden reversed President Trump's "transgender Military ban", then you have been duped by FakeNews and leftist propaganda. This lie has already permeated the left's alternate reality where we'll be arguing it for years, and the facts will only irritate them.
Orange is the New Black - Orange is the New Black (ONB) was one of Netflix's early success series, that ran for 7 seasons, and is well liked by reviewers and viewers (96/82 on rotten tomatoes). While I generally liked the characters and writing, it gets a bit manic, woke and Social Justice preachy in the story. You quickly realize it is just it is just Lesbian Hogans Heroes -- with a darker view of the world, but all the same cynical and slightly bigoted undertones. Instead of being anti-German, it's anti-straight white male patriarch, anti-authority... everyone in power is incompetent or an asshole. The prison is filled with good people that just had a tough childhood and made some bad choices, are mentally ill and not getting treatment, or they are framed victims. It's all societies fault. The story arc is interesting, but the dogma of the writers gets thicker and thicker as the writers try desperately to make you bond to the criminals and empathize with their bad chocies resent the authority protecting society from them (or them from each other), and hate the system as much as they do. The Great Uniter - Barack Obama ran as the great uniter, "Not a red America or blue America, but the United States of America"... and he governed as a far-left impotent fascist dictator that increased the divide on racial and party lines, and the rise of Occupy Wall Street, BLM, Antifa, ISIS, and so on. It's what community organizers do. Joe Biden, had the closest “win” with the lowest vote integrity of any President, ever, why shouldn’t he demonstrate contemptuousness of the other sides interests in the name of unity and healing? Instead of acting at all like the moderate he pretended he was on the campaign, his caustic inauguration speech and immediate executive order lets everyone know he is just attempting to be Obama 2.0 with 1/3rd less brains or charm. He didn't extend an oliver branch or show any moderation/compromises/healing on his first day, or his first week in office. He picked a radical/extremist cabinet based on gender or skin color (and ideological extremism) instead of qualifications, and ramrodded 30 executive orders through in his first week (causing 70,000 jobs), and he broke multiple campaign promises in the process. Zero unity or healing was offered, it was all divisiveness. Capitol Hill Violence - After 12 years of Occupy Wall Street, BLM and Antifa riots and hundreds of assaults (and a few murders) on Trump supporters... who knew that a few Republicans acting like Democrats (or Democrats dressed up like Republicans) would suddenly flip the left and their media from being riot apologists and defund the police fanatics into, "shoot them in the face" and complete totalitarian authority fans? Since the intelligent response for the violence apologist left would be to either (a) say nothing (b) apoligize and say "I see now that I was wrong", they instead turned this into a partisan opportunity to divide us more -- and blame the other side, for what they started, agitated, and are trying to further with their histrionics (whether they are bright enough to recognize it or not). NYT on COVID - The New York Times was living up to their all propaganda narrative with an article headlined, "One Year, 400,000 Coronavirus Deaths: How The U.S. Guaranteed Its Own Failure" and the subhead blaming Orangeman, "After the White House declined to pursue a unified national strategy, governors faced off against lobbyists, health experts and a restless public consumed by misinformation." Their points were:
Digital Kristallnacht - Before he's even inaugurated, Joe Biden's supporters demanded and acted on Digital Kristallnacht: attacking conservatives on Social Media in order to find unity for the cause and spreading hate and division in the name of healing. The least historically informed will think I'm being absurdly hyperbolic... it was only 7,000 digital businesses that were destroyed instead of physical ones damaged, but the black-hearted idea is the same, "if you disagree with us, we will put you in a digital reservation / concentration camp and remove you from our version of civilized society". This polarization (and Biden's silence) sets up the ultimate litmus test: do you support this, or are you an American? The President of Mexico (Lopez Obrador) spoke out immediately against it as did Russian Dissident Alexei Navalny , showing they are more American than Joe Biden, his supporters, and the majority of the American media who supported it or remained silent. Anyone that is not outraged over Big Tech's Executive Order 9066 and the digital interment of the Trumpanese, is not a good person. Parler - Pronounced “par-lay” (not parlor) was set up in 2018 as another free speech alternative to Twitter.
George Gascon - George Gascon is a Cuban American (more Communist than American) an inept Chief of Police in Mesa Arizona who resigned because he was about to be fired, so was appointed by Gavin Newsom to be a worse District Attorney in San Francisco and was forced to leave under a cloud of racial allegations and 49% increase in property crime (with equivalent reductions in prosecutions). With that in mind, he ran and won as DA of Los Angeles where he took his far left ideas that involve unilaterally reducing punishment, enforcement and freeing as many criminals as possible. Gifting - There's an art to gifting (both giving and receiving). Both are skills like dancing, that I just don't have a natural proficiency for (and haven't practiced enough to be good at it)... my wife does. Growing up my family wasn't good at it either. Don't get me wrong, I give things that are occasionally considerate -- but I'm about as comfortable at it as miss manners watching The Office. For Christmas, my wife got a couple windows fixed, and a screen door. Ooops, there goes the romantic surprise. Maybe next year. POC - A Korean, and Indian and an Iranian went into a bar and were joking about the terms PoC (People of Color) and BiPoC (Black & Indigenous People of Color), and how it doesn't work because people of the same color aren't equally oppressed... low and behold, everything they were mocking, became true within a few weeks. . Now NPR is claiming that "People of Color" is racist, because it treats all minorities as equal victims. When we all know, that some groups deserve more victimhood cred than others. Of course that's racist, but trying to discuss racism with bigots is futile. 2020 Georgia - George has some irregularities:
Gun Buybacks - One of the dumbest things in America (symbolism over substance) 2020 Lawsuits - Here is the evidence of the Michigan Lawsuit, that the media is suppressing, and claiming there's no evidence of wrongdoing, despite 20 different examples of people coming forward and offering testimony/affidavits of crimes they witnessed (under threat of perjury if they lied on any of this). Including:
Krugman on Legitimacy - "[Joe Biden] will be the first modern U.S. president trying to govern in the face of an opposition that refuses to accept his legitimacy..” ~ Paul Krugman... ignoring that Krugman himself called Trump "illegitimate" a few times, not to mention thousands of lefties at left wing media. They did the same to George Bush for a while. NYT sort of corrected themselves, by first stealth changing the quote to make it look not quite as bad, then when they did admit the mistake, they implied it was a few left wing outlets and failed to admit that it was them and Paul Krugman that had both questioned the legitimacy of Trump and Bush. Real journalists don't act like that. But Democrat operatives posing as journalists do. 2020 Nevada - Nevada has some irregularities:
Branch COVIDIANS - Branch COVIDians (aka COVIDIOTS), are the enthusiastic Karen Enforcers of policies that they've been told work by the DNC or their media, but demonstrate no actual domain knowledge of the problems or skepticism (critical thinking skills) to back it up. They are the Dunning-Kruger's who believe the evidence against masks or shutdowns are conclusive: "the science is settled" when in reality, both are still hotly debated in scientific circles and there's as much evidence against both as effective as for. When cornered, instead of discussing the topic, they usually attack people, or post links to their favorite non-scientific source, or rarely, to a junk study that's easy to debunk. While I sometimes argue with these people, the point is not to change their mind (their views demonstrate that they're not open to the nuances of reality), it's to get them to show to others that their consensus demanding tantrums are not based on nuance or reality, but based on a desire to conform to what they've been told to think (usually by the far left). CNN Tapes - James O'Keefe (of investigative journalist site Project Veritas) asked CNN President (Jeff Zucker) some questions on their weekly call, like how do they call themselves news when they worked to suppress and spin facts that didn't further their agenda? O'Keefe mentioned they he had been secretly taping their calls for months (during the pre-election coverage) and was going to release those tapes. Instead of answering, CNN panicked, hung up, and said they'd changed the call process to prevent transparency in the future. They also threatened lawsuit, because after they released secret tapes of the First Lady, suddenly when that was turned back on them, they felt that investigative journalism, whistleblowing and speaking truth to power was a crime. So the tapes were released and we got the leadership conspiring on tape to do the following:
