In 2017, a British woman (Laura Hood) claimed she was raped by a taxi driver, who was arrested and held in custody for 20 hours while police investigated Hood’s claims. 2 years later (Sept 2019), Laura was found guilty of perverting the course of justice and sentenced to three years in prison for making her false accusation when the tracking data (and DNA) both proved it didn't happen.
