In May (2019) a Boston-area Uber Driver of 5 years (Melvin Guerrero-Encarna) was charged with sexually assaulting a female passenger, and was ordered to be held without bail, based on the woman’s claims. In Sept, all charges were dropped when DNA evidence came back exonerating the driver. The Woman was not charged with a crime, despite the false report. And like many stories, this was front page news, back page retraction.
